Kids' Drawing, Painting and Clay This five week class is geared toward older elementary students and young teens who want to learn more about drawing and painting techniques and working with clay. Projects will be designed around the interests of those who register and will be different in Session I and Session II. Students are allowed to make up missed classes (because of vacation, illness, etc.) during either session.
Please note that we must meet minimum enrollment numbers at least FIVE days before the start of each session, so please register early!
Session I: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, June 9, 16, 23, 30 and July 7. Cost: $60 for five weeks Session II: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, July 14, 21, 28, August 4 and August 11. Cost: $60 for five weeks
Wednesday Workshops for Teens and Adults These are a GREAT way to try out a topic you're interested in without making a long-term commitment or investing in expensive art materials. Supplies and materials are always included, so all you have to do is show up, enjoy the evening and leave with a great finished art project! All workshops are Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $25 for each workshop Call 269.345.1038 to register. We must meet minimum enrollment numbers THREE days before each workshop to avoid cancellation, so please register early!
June 18: Watercolor Basics June 25: Introduction to Handmade Paper July 2: Collage with Handmade Paper and Found Objects July 9: Bookmaking Basics: Create Three Small Books for gifts, photos, scrapbooking, etc. July 16: Introduction to Art Stamping (we'll use commercial stamps and you'll learn to make your own rubber stamps) July 23: Intro to Pop-Ups for cardmaking or books July 30: Polymer Clay Basics August 6: Introduction to Silk Painting August 13: Handmade Paper Workshop with Natural Fibers and Dyes
Summer Drop-In Art Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
